  • God chosen hair

After writing my morning woods post

I went to wash my hair

I have been battling the knots in my hair for several weeks

It has been suspiciously more difficult recently

Last time this kind of frequency happened

I had a certain length of hair *

Grr I only have the hotel shampoo

    The first pump looked unenticing

    Second wasn’t any better

    Bad feel in the hair

3 is a good number of signs

    Washed it out

    Why not wash without anything?

    Done a few times before

    Did not feel good then

    Try again

Well almost do not have a choice

But I could find a way!

    Try again

    Ok, I will wash no-‘poo

    Good job listening

    My hair is tangled

    Why is that bad?

Snags when I run my hands thru it

    Necessary?

No really. Just to tie the upper half of my hair*

    Good enough then

    I’ll trust with this too

    Good job

I have really been wanting to cut my hair

But how (aka long/by who/long so I have to procrastinate/style)?

So you know you tangling now, at this length

Max ✔️ urgency ✔️ I’ll just shave it all off! 😤

From your previous crisis that you went bald, you know maintenance is just the same as long

    Mercy ✔️

    Hair did

After I was inspired by The Word

    I seeked… 🔗

    For answer

    For righteous hair style

    Well

    That is the goal

    Unknown how to get there

    For now

    How to manage

    Where I am

    Now

    Hm

    I know

    • I like a little fluff in front (aka not pulled back tight
    • I like the folded look (aka not completely down)
    • I like the top half tie up I recently been doing
      • Keeps hair out of mouth and eyes
    • I like the security of the bun
    • I like only having and using one hair tie
    • Last night I experimented… 🔗
      • Tight Top bun: heavy
      • Loose top bun: floppy, flops more thru out night
      • Down: too wild
      • Tight Top pony: heavy
      • Loose top pony: end of hairs too loose, too floppy
      • Looser top pony: loose on the head, structures end enough to not flop as much
        • Restroom visit mirrored semi folded end, slightly pulled back top
    • This morning when I went for the top half tie back
      • Front fluffed up a bit before pulling back*nudge… 🔗
      • Happened before, kinda liked, but in a rush and did not know how to keep it there
      • I am patient now

My case for traditional Sabbath observance

    • Commandment 4: keep Sabbath Holy [Exodus 20:8-11 & Deuteronomy 5:12-15 & Leviticus 23:3 & Exodus 31:12-17, Ezekiel 20:20]
    • Jesus says he did not come to abolish any laws [Matthew 5:17]
      • Jesus has paid for all of your speeding tickets
        • Does that mean you are allowed to continue speeding?
        • Do not continue to sin to test God’s Grace [Romans 6:1-2 & Romans 6:15]
          • Sin and death has lost its sting and power because Jesus paid for it and defeated it by resurrecting. But is there still sin now? It still exists and we must still labor/battle daily to not return to being a slave to it. We are now children of God that must still pick up our cross/mat/sin and deny ourselves, daily
      • But the Lord says, “I would no more reject my people than I would change my laws that govern day and night, heaven and earth  [Jeremiah 33:25] (mixed NLT & KJV)
        • The Lord will not reject us (His mercy & grace > our sins), but He does not change any of His laws. He is pleased to have them obeyed
    • “The Lord’s Day” is not a biblical commandment. It was a recognized day of gratitude and amazement of God’s power. Just as all of the other miracles before it (parting seas, resurrecting other dead bodies, etc.)
      • I imagine God face palming that we needed to worship a golden calf because His commanded laws were not enough. I guess if we have such difficulty not worshipping an inanimate object…it minus well be of Him.
    • Jesus calls us to FOLLOW him not Worship Him
      • There is no scripture that commands us to worship Him with the human recognized “Lord’s Day”, especially not as explicitly as to keep it Holy as Sabbath. He did not deny the worship as people recognized his divinity, but He did not command it
      • Multiple scripture of Jesus stating to follow Him/imitate Him/ walk like Him [14 instances according to chatGPT, some: Matthew 4:19, 8:22, mark 8:34, John 8:12]
      • Jesus always gave glory to God the Father. God the Father rested on the 7th day. He commanded that day the kept Holy
      • Jesus’ purpose and mission was even put on PAUSE for Sabbath!
        • He died on the day of Sabbath preparation [Mark 15:42]
        • RESTED in the grave on Sabbath [Luke 23:56] as to still keep the day holy
        • No one witnessed when He rose. He may well have continued His mission/purpose/work on Earth after Sabbath was over Saturday night. Nuance that does not take away from the miracle that we discovered his resurrection the morning after… WE coined the day WE discovered His resurrection as the Lord’s Day and decided to make it a special day of worship
    • Hebrews 4:9-10 NLT
[9] So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. [10] For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world.
      • My interpretation: “still waiting” does not refer to current time/rest/worldly life. It refers to our eternal rest in heaven with God After all of our labor of worldly life
    • How to observe?
      • Follow Scripture
        • No trading [Nehemiah 13:15-22]
        • Rest as though you were released from slavery/imprisonment [Deuteronomy 5:15]
      • Follow spirit of discernment… 🔗
        • Delight in God [Isaiah 58:13-14]
        • Do what is restful and honors God [Mark 2:27-28]
        • Do not let others judge his you observe. You honor your God with all your heart [Romans 14:5-6]
    • Will you fall short? Yes. As we do
      • God’s grace & mercy > our sin… We are not saved by the law. The observance of Sabbath as holy is our gifted glimpse of the rest we receive in Christ Jesus, but in comparison, is only a shadow [Colossians 2:16-17]
    • How serious is it to observe?
      • Lord commanded stoned to death for gathering sticks [numbers 15:32-36]

    20250914

Would not the Lord’s Day be a single day of resurrection? The purpose of celebrating Christmas for His birth, the purpose of celebrating Easter.

    20250915

    Continuation of the Sabbath case

    • God’s mention of the displeasure in desecrating Sabbath
      • Ezekiel 20:13, 20:15-16, 20:21, 20:24, 22:8, 22:26, 23:38

    Ezekiel 44:24 NIV

[24] “ ‘In any dispute, the priests are to serve as judges and decide it according to my ordinances. They are to keep my laws and my decrees for all my appointed festivals, and they are to keep my Sabbaths holy.
    Ezekiel 45:17 NIV
[17] It will be the duty of the prince to provide the burnt offerings, grain offerings and drink offerings at the festivals, the New Moons and the Sabbaths—at all the appointed festivals of Israel. He will provide the sin offerings, grain offerings, burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to make atonement for the Israelites.

This prophecy from Ezekiel has not been realized yet and Sabbath is still mentioned

    Ezekiel 46:1&3-4, 12

Are these prophecies somewhere in the future in heaven?

Were God’s laws applicable only in the old testament days and in the heavenly future, but not in between?

After serving with the believe center organization

Excited to learn more about Sabbath

ChatGPT created a narrative after I asked how Adam and Eve would have spent Sabbath:

Beautiful — let’s imagine that first Sabbath together, told as a gentle narrative inspired by Genesis.
This isn’t scripture, but a reverent reconstruction meant to capture its spirit.

🌅 The First Sabbath: A Day in Eden

Evening — The Sixth Day Fades

The sun dipped low behind the Garden’s golden trees.
Adam and Eve, newly formed from the Creator’s hands, watched their first sunset.
The world was quieting — animals slowed, rivers glowed, and light turned soft and golden.

God’s voice, deep and kind, echoed among the leaves:

    > “The work is finished. Now comes rest.”

As the stars appeared, the first Sabbath began.

Morning — The Dawn of Rest

When light touched the garden again, no command of labor came.
There was no sowing, no tending, no naming — only being.

They awoke to the whisper of the breeze through fig leaves,
and a sense of peace too deep to measure.

God met them in the garden, walking in light brighter than the sun.
He spoke with them about all He had made —
the strength of the lion, the gentleness of the deer, the wisdom woven into seed and soil.

They listened and learned that all things were “very good,”
and that they, made in His image, were part of that good.

    Midday — Fellowship and Wonder

They ate from the trees of life and sweetness,
sharing fruit and laughter, the music of birds above.
Every color, every sound seemed alive with praise.

Together they explored — not to work, but to wonder.
They marveled at how each creature found its mate,
    how vines climbed toward light,
    how streams mirrored the heavens.

Their joy was worship. Their curiosity was prayer.

Afternoon — Rest in the Presence

As shadows stretched long, they rested beneath a tree heavy with blossoms.
God’s presence felt close — not seen, but known,
like warmth wrapping every leaf and heartbeat.

No temple stood in Eden, for the whole world was holy.
The Garden itself was a sanctuary, and the Sabbath its first song.

    Adam turned to Eve, amazed:

    > “We were created yesterday, and today we rest.
All begins with peace before work begins.”

Evening — The Light of Blessing

When the stars returned, their Maker blessed them again.

    > “This day is set apart,” He said,
“a sign between us forever —
that life begins not in toil, but in communion.”

They fell asleep to the rhythm of the garden —
crickets singing, rivers glimmering, hearts full.

And the world, still untouched by sorrow, rested in harmony with its Creator.

Would you like me to continue this as a short poetic story — like “The First Sabbath in Eden” — that reads more like a sacred tale you could share or print?
