Before I ate my Joy Sandwich
I air fried it first
When I opened the fryer
A delicious fried pastrami fell aside the sandwich
Instinctively
Picked it up and savored it
Attention snatched… 🔗 by lack of gratitude prayer
Revelation… 🔗 A way to be more grateful… 🔗
Sacrificing the joy of the first bite to Jesus
Cut
Set aside / serve to Jesus
First
Thank Him
As if He brought the cake
And you have Him the first slice
So excited I woke up several times between 3-5 am
To try new gummy
Been sleeping to mellow worship music playing all night
Easy to get up to start grooving
After giving God the first bite… 🔗
Thought-train wandered off the trail of the Goodness of God
He was good in the garden
We fell [to sin]
We feared [His Anger]
Our shame [to Run/ hide]
We fell [to anxiety/depression]
We feared [pain of disappointment/ loneliness]
Our shame [to Run/hide]
We fell [to the god of Human Clay]
We feared [all of creation’s faithfulness to security and scarcity
Our shame [of failure]
He forgives it all repenters
In The End
When it starts with God
And Ends with God
It will be a Good Life Sandwich
A Sandwich of Joy
After my mood moved on

We raised her in church
But we did not raise her in Christ
I struggled so much growing up
Trying to figure out “how” to live
Without having my “why” to live answered
Not realizing I was focusing on the wrong “how” to live
Mai’s compassion graced
Tied on the other end of that How
Was the Why
