Attention snatched by lyric:

When a mountain tall ain’t nothing to climb

When you don’t want More of nothing but time

Sendy satiated 4/5 senses

However, the 5th sense of sound was strange

Sounded good sometimes

Others it was scary/saddening/threatening / aka link ๐Ÿ”—

It did not have enough of the spirit of love

The words of The Word

Text conversation initiated by Mary about a woman’s perspective of seeking “True Love”

My interpretation / response:

It has been imprinted on our heart because we were made in His image. He is the perfect true love and he has that love toward us. We fall short of reciprocating the perfect love. We try to replicate the love, but the shortcomings are the different forms of sin.

True love is multifaceted: mind, body, and spirit.
Mind: we need to learn about the other to Know them, but in excess knowledge leads to being controlling/power hungry /pride . Shortcoming leads to ignorance/ luke warm/ idolizing other gods. Understanding what is good and evil is essential. Punishing your children is out of love

Body: to be literally seen. connected physically. feelings and sensations were gifted to experience Being Alive… Excess leads to gluttony/ addition/ sloth/ lust. As you mentioned, leads to idolizing this one aspect by sexualizing, perverting, selling it.  Shortcoming leads to loneliness, depression, anxiety

Spirit: to be seen and known beyond physical can only be done through using evidence from the mind and body. Knowing someone’s heart (/spirit) is not tangible/recordable/explained. How a person responds to situations, how they act around people, how they perceive the world, how they carry their cross, how aware they are to even having a cross.  It has to be understood from personal experience.

When the spirit is righteous, the mind and body will be as well.  You can maybe fake the first two for a while, but the third will eventually come out. Love is bigger than our lives can encompass or express. We fall short. But we want it.

I feel bad for Satan as he embodies all of the deadly sins. He just wants what we all want, but is too prideful to surrender to God’s love.  So he digs a deeper hole (I know how that feels). He fuels our frustrations for falling short. That manifests as shame and hiding (I find myself here sometimes, giving up several times a week on finding a partner). Or anger and running. Or depression.
