Compost eating Zen patience

Crying passing anything more than a few drops of diarrhea

Licks diarrhea out of shame to clean up

Or just spiraling and wanting to die

Self sabotage

Once my eyes were opened

At 4 am

I was empathetic

I loved her

Admonished her forcefully

To stop licking her anus raw

Soothingly pet her to sleep

She slept deeply

Instead of anxiously pacing

throughout the whole night

And obligatory allowance out of kennel

Standing at the door

And commanding evacuation

Then passively stating

To return to slumber

And returning to slumber

Earnestly stepping into her paws

Earnestly feeling through her emotions

Empathizing

Is healing
